How much does care cost?

Working out how much you'll have to pay towards your care home depends on things such as the care you need, your income and your savings. But if you want an idea of the average cost of care where you live, and whether you're entitled to help with paying for it, this tool from Which? can help.

Once you've used the tool, the links at the bottom of the page will help you find out more about arranging and paying for care.

This tool will only provide an indication of what care might cost in your area and how you might pay for it. If you want to know more, contact your council. If you haven't already, you should start by asking them for a care needs assessment.
